Review: Man Candy by Melanie Harlow

He’s back.

Not just back in town, but living in the flat right beneath mine. And he looks good enough to eat, which is just one more reason to stay away from him.

But I can’t resist.

The sex is incredible (pretty sure we’ve shaken the house right off its foundation), but he can’t fool me—not this time. A degree in marketing and five years in advertising have taught me that “true love” is a fairy tale used to sell lipstick, diamonds, and perfume. It doesn’t exist.

He thinks I’m wrong, and he wants to prove it.

I think he’s crazy, so I dare him to try.

It might be the biggest mistake of my life.

Jaime used to have feelings for the gorgeous man, Quinn. And after he refused to her when she confessed to him one night, Jaime swore to set aside what she felt for Quinn and tried to move on. Well at least she tried. She avoided getting into serious relationships with guys — just sex with no strings attached. Pleasure and lust with no love. She believe that staying like that would get her out of trouble considering her future.

Until she met him again few years after. Quinn is back and as much as she hate it, she can’t hide from him. Not if he’s living downstairs. Jaime was unaware of the true reason behind Quinn’s refusal back then. She had no idea how badly he wants them to be done with it and just be together but he couldn’t let the guilt eat him. He chose to resist himself and laugh it off.

When they were just few steps away from one another, Quinn is ready to right what he did wrong. He tried all his charm to win her back again. The question was, does she still have feelings for him after what he did in the past? Jaime couldn’t be as hard as rock not to notice the upgraded charm of the model.

This was one kind of a read that kept me entertained. It made me smile for a minute, and then it made me fanning myself cause it burned me. I like the way Jaime was playing kind of heart-to-get while Quinn tried his best to use his gorgeous face and amazing charms to get her. They are so cute together, that’s all.
